What details should be paid attention to when installing hot spring insulation pipes?
The hot-melt installation of hot spring insulation pipe PE-RT II needs to select a process according to the pipe diameter: small diameters (DN20~110) mostly use hot-melt sockets, and the heating plate temperature is usually 250~260℃ (some manufacturers recommend 230~250℃, which should be subject to the equipment instructions); large diameters (DN120~500) use hot-melt butt joints, and the heating plate preheating temperature is 210~220℃. Additionally, electrofusion welding can be supplemented for special occasions. It should be emphasized that the value displayed on the thermometer is for reference only, and the final welding quality should be based on the uniform curl formed after the pipe end is melted. Before installation, drawings must be prepared and technical disclosure completed; before welding, the pipe should be fixed on the fixture, and the center line must be aligned. Wipe the 100mm range inside and outside the pipe end with a clean cotton cloth. At the same time, remove the polyurethane oxide scale and oil stain on the outer sheath on the end face of the insulation layer at the joint. End milling should be done slowly and steadily to avoid scratches. After the heating is completed, the socket or docking operation must be completed quickly. After docking, the clamp is locked immediately, and constant pressure is maintained until the interface naturally cools to room temperature. Movement or force is strictly prohibited during this period. After cooling, check the welding joint. The curling thickness should not be less than 1/10 of the pipe wall thickness. Regarding the curling size, different data records vary. The common standards are height 2~4mm and width 4~8mm (there are also data recording heights of 1.5~6mm). The actual operation should be based on the pipe manufacturer's "Construction Disclosure Book". The entire process should strictly follow the operating specifications, paying special attention to short heating time, fast action, and stable pressure to ensure reliable joint sealing and meet the temperature resistance and insulation requirements of hot spring pipelines for long-term operation.
