Sliding Mechanisms

product-800-800
Internal Sliding

The carrier pipe slides within the insulation layer, while the insulation material remains fixed to the outer casing. This compact structure eliminates the need for internal support rings and reduces corrosion risk; however, the weight of the carrier pipe can cause the insulation layer to become eccentric or crushed.

product-800-800
External Sliding

The carrier pipe and insulation layer slide as a single unit against the inner wall of the outer casing. Internal support rings prevent insulation eccentricity or crushing; the system offers excellent moisture venting and straightforward structural analysis. It is the mainstream design globally, particularly suitable for areas with high groundwater levels.

What are the core advantages of our products?

High Temperature & Pressure Resistance

Covers operating conditions from 150°C to 350°C with pressure up to 2.5 MPa, meeting industrial and municipal steam transmission demands.

01

High Insulation Efficiency

Multi-layer gradient insulation combined with aluminum foil reflective layers reduces heat loss by over 70% compared to traditional solutions.

02

Corrosion Resistance & Durability

Outer protective pipe utilizes 3PE/FBE coatings, providing a design service life of 25–30 years.

03

Moisture Discharge & Monitoring

Steam Insulated Pipe features built-in moisture discharge pipes to purge humidity during warm-up while doubling as leak signal channels.

04

Direct Burial Economy

Reduces civil engineering volume by approximately 70% compared to trench installation, significantly shortening construction timelines.

05

What about the manufacturing technology?

The carrier steel pipe undergoes shot-blasting to reach the Sa2.5 cleanliness standard, followed by preheating and the application of a high-temperature resistant primer. It is then wrapped in composite insulation material and fitted with sliding supports. After being inserted into the outer protective steel casing, it receives 3PE or FBE anti-corrosion coating. Finished products are released only after passing a 100% airtightness test. Xingbang employs a "one-step" molding process featuring continuous multi-stage operations, boosting production efficiency by 20%–40%.

Customization Services

Xingbang offers customized steam insulated pipe solutions tailored to specific project conditions, covering the following aspects:

Pipe Diameter: Full range customization from DN20 to DN1200mm to meet various flow rate requirements.

Insulation Thickness: Optimal thickness determined via thermal calculations based on medium temperature, pipe diameter, and heat loss requirements, balancing thermal performance with overall costs.

Sliding Structure: Choice of internal or external sliding structures based on project conditions; external sliding structures are recommended for high-groundwater areas.

Outer Casing Anti-Corrosion: Options include 3PE or Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE) powder coatings; anti-corrosion specifications can be upgraded based on the project's corrosivity rating.

Pipe Length: Individual pipe lengths customized according to transportation logistics and on-site installation requirements.

With over 140 national patents and experience participating in the drafting of more than 70 industry standards, Xingbang provides specialized designs for challenging conditions such as extreme cold and high-groundwater geology. We ensure the delivery of custom orders through three dedicated production lines for steel-cased steam insulation pipes.

What are some of our international projects?

Case Study 1

Heating Project for a Food Industry Park in Mongolia

Product: Overhead steam-insulated piping

Project Overview: Xingbang supplied overhead steam-insulated piping for the park's heating system. The pipes were specially designed for the extremely cold climate to ensure stable, long-term operation during winter. Customer Feedback: "This batch of pipelines operated continuously under extreme winter low temperatures; the metal outer casing showed no deformation or cracking, and the insulation layer showed no signs of moisture. The moisture exhaust pipe drained normally during the warm-up phase, and steam dryness remained stable after commissioning, meeting the park's production steam requirements."

FAQ

Q: How do I choose between "inner-sliding" and "outer-sliding" structures?

A: The outer-sliding type offers excellent moisture exhaust and clear load distribution, making it the mainstream structure today; the inner-sliding type is compact and suitable for general operating conditions. The outer-sliding type is recommended for areas with high groundwater levels.

Q: What standards do the steam insulated pipes comply with?

A: They strictly comply with CJ/T 246-2018 and CJJ/T 104-2014.

Q: What are the foundation requirements for direct-buried installation?

A: The trench bottom must be compacted and leveled, with a load-bearing capacity meeting design requirements. In areas with poor geological conditions-such as soft soil or marshland-gravel replacement or pile reinforcement is necessary to prevent uneven settlement that could cause joint cracking or separation.

Q: How is leakage monitored during pipeline operation?

A: The built-in moisture exhaust pipe also serves as a leak detection signal pipe. During normal operation, it vents moisture from the insulation layer; in the event of a leak, abnormal steam discharge or humidity changes occur, helping maintenance personnel quickly locate the fault.
