Heat Shrinkable Sleeve

Heat Shrinkable Sleeve

The inner layer of the heat shrinkable sleeve is an epoxy primer applied to the surface of the steel pipe, the middle layer is hot melt adhesive, and the outer layer is a modified radiation cross-linked polyethylene substrate.

The specifications of the heat shrinkable sleeve are mainly determined based on the applicable steel pipe diameter and anti-corrosion grade. Generally speaking, the specifications of heat shrinkable sleeves include the following aspects:

1. Applicable steel pipe diameter: The heat shrink sleeve is suitable for various steel pipe diameters, ranging from φ 15 to φ The 1420mm steel pipe model has corresponding heat shrink sleeve specifications. When selecting a heat shrink sleeve, it is necessary to choose the appropriate specification based on the actual diameter of the steel pipe used.

2. Width of heat shrink sleeve: The most commonly used width of heat shrink sleeve is 500mm, but it can also be customized between 100-800mm according to requirements. When selecting a heat shrink sleeve, it is necessary to choose the appropriate width based on the anti-corrosion requirements and actual usage of the steel pipe.

3. Thickness of heat shrink sleeve: The thickness of heat shrink sleeve shall comply with the requirements of national standard GB/T23257. For joint repair, the thickness of heat shrink sleeve shall be 2.2mm for pipes with a diameter below DN400, and 2.5mm for pipes with a diameter above DN400. The factory can provide thicknesses of 2.0mm, 2.2mm, 2.5mm, 2.7mm, 3.0mm, etc. When selecting a heat shrink sleeve, it is necessary to choose the appropriate thickness based on the anti-corrosion requirements and actual usage of the steel pipe.

4. Corrosion protection level: The corrosion protection level of the heat shrink sleeve is generally determined based on the corrosion protection requirements of the steel pipe. Different anti-corrosion levels correspond to different specifications and quality requirements for heat shrink sleeves. When selecting a heat shrink sleeve, it is necessary to choose the appropriate anti-corrosion grade based on the anti-corrosion requirements and actual usage of the steel pipe.

Application:

1.During the installation and construction of the heat shrinkable sleeve, the heat shrink sleeve uniformly shrinks radially under the action of heat, while the hot melt adhesive layer melts and evenly covers and fills the surface of the pipeline, forming a continuous and tight anti-corrosion system with the original pipeline anti-corrosion layer.

2.The product is applicable to various pipe anti-corrosion coatings, such as: 2-layer polyethylene (2PE), 3-layer polyethylene (3PE), powder epoxy (PBE), insulation jacket, coal tar enamel, petroleum asphalt.

Transportation and storage:

1. Standing upright, protected from exposure to sunlight, rain, and deformation.

2. It should be stored in a cool warehouse with a temperature of 5-30 ℃ and a relative humidity of less than 75%, and kept away from heat sources and open flames.

3. The shelf life is 12 months.

Usage method:

1. Clean the surface of the anti-corrosion protection joint repair section.

2. Move the heat shrink sleeve to the anti-corrosion section, and note that the overlap between the heat shrink sleeve and the anti-corrosion layer should not be less than 50m.

3. Heat the heat shrink sleeve radially and evenly with a baking gun (to exhaust air to avoid bubbles and wrinkles). The sleeve body shrinks under the action of heat, and the inner layer of hot melt adhesive melts and tightly covers the surface of the pipeline.

4. Afterwards, use silicone rubber rollers for leveling and compaction.

5. It is prohibited to carry out outdoor construction without protection in rainy, snowy, foggy days with humidity greater than 85%, and in environments with strong sandstorms.
